About Cozy Chair, LLC

Founded in 2011, Cozy Chair is the result of a lifetime of varied experiences.  As the youngest of four children, I observed my mother, a registered nurse, master complicated sewing projects fearlessly and with amazing perfection. My father, a mechanical engineer, inspired me to study engineering with the exacting accuracy required in that field. Reupholstery draws upon this attention to detail, craftsmanship and hard work that is my heritage.

Raised in Paducah, Kentucky, Elisabeth Larson Phillips holds a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from Missouri University of Science & Technology and studied the Upholstery Arts at Custom Home Furnishings Academy. She is the mother of two Clemson University students and the wife of a fellow engineer and business owner in Columbia, South Carolina.
